I learned to drive on my Mom's '66 Hardtop (Red, black vinyl roof, black Pony interior, 289 w/auto) when I was in high school. I took my road test in the same car and forever wanted to own a 'Stang myself.

After graduation, I took my bike over to the local Ford dealer to price a new 1969 Mustang Sportsroof. But it was not meant to be. The sticker for the one I liked was just a hair over $3,200.00! Way too much for a recent HS graduate.

Fast forward through college, work, my future wife, our wedding, a home, two beautiful daughters and even a dog....41 years later. I finally got my Mustang!!!! It's an Oxford White '04 with a 5 speed, Pony interior (leather) and the Mach sound system with 6 CD changer. More than I could ever ask for. I've already added some visual upgrades. Sequential taillight kit, honeycomb taillight panels, billet gas filler door and a new Ford Racing gearshift knob. FUN!!

I'm loving it and it's quite a step up from my old car! Mustangs FOREVER. Very Happy

Thanks for the welcome. I have a question. The car is in great condition but it has a small door ding on the drivers side. The paint isn't broken through and I have heard of places that can fix the dings without taking the entire door apart. Have you had any experience with this process and what are the costs involved? Thanks for any help you can render.

Welcome to the site from Virginia! I bet it was worth the wait to finally get your dream car. Mabye some day you can buy a 69 like you originally wanted!

I saw a paintless repair demonstration at a Mustang show. They had a hood off a car and would take a hammer to beat a ding into it. They had some special tools to work the dent out from underneath and it looked great when finished. Not sure about the prices. Your insurance comprehensive may cover it without impacting your rates.

Welcome! The paintless dent guys can work wonders on that kind of ding depending on the process they use I've seen several differnt methods some will drill a small hole in the bottom of the door and work the dent out that way others use a bonding material to pull the dent out with a suction cup like device personally I'd use the first since its not actually pulling on the paint anyway welcome back to the mustang world glad your hear!
